Support and Frequently Asked Questions
I no longer provide support for my books, articles, Web site, or anything else by email, contact form, U.S. mail, or telephone. There are no exceptions to this rule. I simply cannot provide one-on-one support for my work — especially work that is no longer in print.
If you have watched one of my Lynda.com (AKA LinkedIn Learning) videos and have a question about its content, please use the tools available on that site to ask your question. All support for my Lynda/LinkedIn video courses must go through the Lynda/LinkedIn site. This is a contractual obligation that I cannot circumvent.
Blog Feedback
If you have a comment about one of my blog entries, use the Comment/Reply link or form for the entry to share it with other site visitors. Rest assured that I’ll read it, too. If I have a response to your comment, that’s where it’ll go.
You can also use comments to report a bad link in a blog post. I appreciate any help I can get tracking down and fixing bad links on any of my sites.

Social Networking
I participate in a limited number of social networks. You might find one of these methods helpful to keep in touch and see what I’m up to.
- Mastodon. I made the move to Mastodon from Twitter in autumn 2022. I was very unhappy with the changes made to that site and the amount of hate, lies, and spam being shared there. So now I’m on Mastodon. Find me at https://mastodon.world/@mlanger
- Twitter. I was an active Twitter starting in March 2007 and pretty much ending when I moved to Mastodon. My account is still on Twitter and I occasionally check it. But don’t expect to find new content there other than links to blog posts. My Twitter name is mlanger.
- Facebook. I am no longer on Facebook. Period. If you are, I’m sorry for you.
- LinkedIn. I am no longer on LinkedIn. Seriously: the amount of spam that site generates is preposterous.
Career Advice/Pilot Jobs
I cannot provide career advice of any kind, whether you want to be a writer or a helicopter pilot or a jewelry maker or a boat captain. The 2500+ posts in this blog have plenty of advice — read them. There’s a pretty good chance that I’ve covered your question here in a blog post. Use the search field at the top of every page to see a list of possible articles of interest to you.
Special Note to Pilots: I sold my helicopter charter company, Flying M Air, in Autumn 2022. I retired from cherry drying in August 2023. I am not hiring pilots and do not foresee the need to hire pilots anytime in the near or distant future. If you contact me about a job, I will not reply and I may use your email as fodder for blog posts like this one. (That guy didn’t read this paragraph.)

I do not honor requests for links. I am not interested in “reciprocal links.” I link only to products or sites that I have first-hand experience with and find worthy of linking to.
